Owner, Writer, and Photogtapher

Kay Arnal

I'm Kay Arnal. I'm a Creative Communications and public relations graduate from RRC Polytechnic.

I have listened to rock music since childhood and have been active in the scene community member since 2014. I attend concerts every week because I enjoy finding new music and meeting new people.

My passion is concert photography and writing feature stories about musicians and bands to help people better understand where the music we listen to comes from.

I want to leave a positive and informative footprint on readers and the music industry.

Justin Fisher

I'm Justin Fisher. I've been reviewing alternative, pop and hardcore music for a handful of years, and have been going to shows and playing music-based video games since I was a teenager.

I graduated from Mid-Ocean Media and Arts in 2020 as an aspiring recording engineer, but came out interested in doing radio-related content because I was interested in discovering rare music, and promoting new, upcoming or local bands. Tune into my show, "Suburban Home" on UMFM 101.5 - Wednesday 1-2pm for emo, punk, alternative and a sprinkle of whatever.

Come find me at a local show in the front row singing along and trying to grab a mic. I also scream in a post-hardcore band called Courriers. Some of my favorite bands include Paramore, Yours Truly, Silverstein, One Step Closer, Anxious, Calling All Captains and Touché Amoré.

I am very passionate about our local scene and want to help get more reach on our artists' music.

Quinn Hall

I'm Quinn Hall. I've been documenting Winnipeg's local music scene through the use of photography for nearly a decade.

I grew up around a mix of rock and pop music and developed my own taste within other genres like hardcore, midwest emo, shoegaze, and many more. Photography became a way for me to get more involved and meet more like minded people.

I am completely self-taught and I constantly strive to learn new techniques to make it more fun to be behind the camera and try to offer more unique photos to bands and artists because of that.

I'm always at shows, big or small, to support the many people I've met over the years and if I don't have my camera with me, you can usually find me in the mosh pit. My goal is to have fun and still be supportive as I can because without the support of a local scene, we wouldn't be here.
